Kaia Gerber Shows Off Blonde Hair (And A Broken Arm) In A Lockdown Update

So far, Kaia Gerber has taken lockdown in her stride, from taking endless pool-side selfies with her tiny husky-bulldog mix puppy to launching her first book club, featuring cameos by everyone from Jia Tolentino to Lena Dunham. Not even supermodels, however, are accident-proof – as Kaia proved when she shared an image of herself on 16 May in a giant arm cast (and, yes, a micro bikini).

“Had a little accident but I’m okay!” she stoically captioned the image, which was followed by an X-Ray showing a dramatic fracture. Naturally, the fashion industry was quick to jump in with well wishes, with the likes of creative director Fabien Baron and fellow model Georgia May Jagger posting messages of support and healing.

Almost as noticeable as the sky-blue cast? Kaia’s significantly lighter hair. The model first dyed her locks at home after watching an online tutorial in late April – opting to apply hydrogen peroxide directly onto the strands. (As any hairstylist will tell you, this is a risky manoeuvre.) She’s also considering bangs, if her recent post of Audrey Hepburn cutting her own hair is anything to go by.
