New Movie ‘Girl’ from director Luke Dhont

 French/Belgium movie Girl directed by Luke’s Dhomt is about Lara, a 15 year old girl who was born into a boy’s body, and is committed to becoming a ballerina.

 Girl is a 2018 Belgian drama film directed by Lukas Dhont. It was written by Dhont and Angelo Tijssens. It screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. It won the Caméra d'Or award for best first feature film at the festival, as well as the Queer Palm. Also at Cannes, Victor Polster won the Un Certain Regard Jury Award for Best Performance. It was selected as the Belgian entry for the Best Foreign Language Filmat the 91st Academy Awards.

The movie plot:

 Lara, a 15-year-old transgender girl, studies at a prestigious Belgian dance academy. The rigors of training as a ballerina are further complicated as she prepares for sex reassignment surgery.
